Classes and Lessons
LiKeMovement offers a variety of ways of learning social dancing: classes, workshops, and private lessons.
Social dances are scheduled throughout the year, giving opportunity to demonstrate the skills you have acquired.
Social Class Courses
$140 Introductory classes; $80 Intermediate block courses
Introductory social dance classes are offered in seven-week blocks covering a range of Ballroom and Latin dances (American style).
Having progressed through the Introductory course, you can then move on to the Intermediate social dance courses. These are offered in four-week blocks, focusing on three dances for each block, with a six-month cycle covering fifteen dance types.
There is also two alternating block courses for Technique: four weeks each of ballroom dances and Latin dances.
Medal Class Courses
$200
Courses of ten-week blocks are offered to prepare you for sitting a Bronze Medal test. You will need to do the course at least twice to prepare you for the test and some private lessons are encouraged.
The Bronze levels of Intermediate, Advanced, and Final are offered in a yearly rotation.
Private Lessons
$38 (25 minutes); $65 (55 minutes)
Elevate your artistry with one-on-one lessons, customised to your needs and level and focusing on the dance types and styles that you want to work on.
Lessons can be for working towards medal tests, demonstrations, dance competitions, or just working to improve your dancing generally.
